Anthony Sable, PGA Professional Golf Instruction
I. Love. Golf. The sport has taught me so many things about myself and about life, dealing with failure, sportsmanship, honor, respect, consideration for others, weighing risk and reward, controlling emotions. I have made a career out of passing on the traditions of this great game.
I believe strongly in in the kinematic sequence - that is, the firing or rotation of different body parts in order to generate speed and power. I try to relate this to my students by using examples of this sequence in other sports they may have played at one time or another. For example, think of just the simple idea of trying to skip a stone across a lake surface. You would start on your back or trailing leg, rotate your hips, and transfer your weight onto your forward or lead leg, the knee then firms up and stops rotating. This transfers the energy into the torso rotation, then the torso decelerates its rotation and transfers the energy into the wrist.
It might seem complicated on paper, but it really is not. This is the essence of the basic, coordinated athletic motion when propelling an object at a target. Thus, | am able to uncomplicate the golf swing and create a more natural, efficient motion that is repeatable.
I conduct a detailed analysis of the student's coordination and swing mechanics, then provide a comprehensive explanation as to the cause and effect nature of the students swing faults but in a way the student can clearly understand. We then talk about pathways for improvement.
Progress will not always occur immediately, but | will teach you how to practice.
My rates are $60 for a full hour of instruction, $30 for a half hour. The rates are for any age and include practice balls before & after the lesson.
