Ladies League – Meet Your Officers – Treasurer

Jane Bowers – Treasurer – A Thankful Life

Jane and her husband started playing golf in their mid-thirties with business associates and friends.  She took naturally to golf, and found a lot of joy in the game and the people she played with.

Jane grew up in the Madison area and married her high school sweetheart Ken.  They had three children and now have six grandchildren.  Jane and her husband started a construction company where they specialized in custom homes, additions and remodels for 35 years.  They have always loved water and started coming up to Eagle River in 1999 because Eagle River has the largest chain of lakes in the world.  They wanted to have a place in the long run for their children and grandchildren.  They built their first cottage on the Cranberry-Catfish throughfare.  In 2005 they bought and remodeled their current home on Eagle Lake, where they have resided since retiring in 2020.

Joining the league four years ago was a way for her to meet other women who shared the love of golf.  Jane is so happy to have met so many wonderful women who have become lifelong friends.  Her experience in running a business made her the perfect person to become the league’s Treasurer.  Becoming the Treasurer this year is her way to give back to this special group.  Her Treasurer duties keep her connected to the ladies in the league.

Ken and Jane spend Winters at their home in Seminole, Florida, an area they visited often over the years.  Being in both places gives them the opportunity to stay active throughout the year.  They enjoy daily walks, being on the water, boating, fishing, golfing, listening to live music, dancing, but most of all, spending time with their children, grandchildren and friends.  She especially enjoys visits from the grandchildren over the Winter months.

Other life experiences Jane has been thankful for include volunteering weekly at the Ronald McDonald House in Madison, which she did for 27 years, and best of all, her hole-in-one on #12 at Eagle River on July 19, 2022.

For Jane, life is good and she is going to enjoy every moment God gives her.
