Eagle River Golf Course Staff

Anthony Sable, PGA
Head Golf Professional/General Manager
I was born and raised in Antigo, Wisconsin. I attended Antigo High School, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
After a successful aviation career in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard, I began a career in the golf industry obtaining PGA Membership in 2005.
I have served in public, private and resort facilities, most recently at The Wilderness Club, a top 50 resort course in Montana designed by Sir Nick Faldo.
I enjoy fishing, camping, traveling, and following professional and collegiate sports. I am a passionate and effective golf instructor and consider putting instruction to be my particular specialty.
Stop by the pro-shop to talk with me about your game, my teaching philosophy, or to set up a casual round of golf.
I very much look forward to serving the community and the patrons and guests of Eagle River Golf Course.

Kyle Anderson
Golf Course Superintendent
Hello, my name is Kyle Anderson, Eagle River‘s new golf course superintendent.
I was born and raised in Delafield, Wisconsin. My golf career of 17 years has taken me to Winona, Minnesota, and Houston, Texas, and now back to my home state.
My last course I worked as a superintendent was Edgerton Towne Country Club, which is the home course of professional golfer Steve Stricker. Steve was on the board and I worked with him closely.
In 2018, I was one of 10 Americans, selected from 600 applicants, chosen to go to Paris, France, and work the Ryder Cup, and I spent 10 days there. I will be working this year‘s Ryder Cup in our home state of Wisconsin at Whistling Straits.
To all of Eagle River‘s members and daily golfers, I look forward to seeing you all out on the golf course and meeting you all.
Anthony Sable and I have had numerous conversations about course improvements. Number one on my list would be course drainage issues. And I am also a big fan of fast greens.
